Bethesda, MD, September 21, 2009 – Brivo Systems LLC, the leader in Software-as-a-
Service applications for security management, today announced the recent integration of
Samsung Electronics DVR technology with Brivo’s ACS WebService™ 9.2 Release. This
ACS version integrates with Samsung Electronics SHR series of DVRs. The newest Brivo
integration, launched on August 27th, is available through Brivo’s extensive channel of
integrator partners.
The supported Samsung Electronics models are included in the ACS WebService DVR
drop-down menu for easy configuration. Both ACS WebService and Samsung Electronics
DVR systems are installed separately—no physical interface is required. Archived video
that is stored on the DVR can be accessed directly from an ACS WebService account. This
means that video stored on the DVR—as well as live video—is accessible over the Internet
through the ACS WebService account. Users can play event-related video from a specific
camera simply by clicking on video icons next to events in the ACS WebService activity log.
“We are pleased to have teamed with Brivo to enable our industry-leading SHR series of
DVRs in Brivo’s innovative ACS WebService package” said Rich Anderson, CTO of
SAMSUNG | GVI Security.
The Brivo-Samsung Electronics integration set-up is easy, and ongoing operations and
maintenance are user-friendly and hassle-free. Specific end user benefits include:
- Easy Accessibility – View live and archived video at multiple locations from a
single browser interface from anywhere, anytime
- Quickly View Event-Related Video – Video archives are indexed by access
control events to quickly pinpoint key video clips
- Immediate Notification – ACS WebService’s built-in notification feature can send
emails and text messages immediately to prompt administrators to log in and view
archived activity within minutes of event activity
- No Special Licensing – DVR integration and notification features are included in
every ACS WebService account
“We believe that video is a natural complement to access control,” said John Szczygiel,
Brivo Executive Vice President. “This integration allows Samsung Electronics users to
experience the power of Web-hosted access control linked with their SAMSUNG | GVI
Security video systems. Like all enhancements we make to ACS WebService, our
customers have access to this new feature the next time they log onto the system—without
any effort or worry about being upgraded to the latest version. Everything is automatic;
that’s security made simple.”
