Extended Storage NVR

Vicon Industries Inc., has introduced the “NVR Shadow,” an NVR pre-loaded with ViconNet video management software and including up to 6.5 TB of usable, internal storage space in RAID 5 configuration. In addition to serving as the “hub” of the video network, the product provides extended storage through eight hot-swappable drives for video database storage. The NVR is offered with three levels of usable storage space: 1.6 TB, 3.3 TB or 6.5 TB. The number of cameras it can simultaneously record varies from 50 to 95, depending on the cameras’ frame rate, recording quality and resolution.

Storage/Access Control Integration

Intransa has received Lenel factory certification for the integration of its StorStac video data management and retention systems (pictured) with Lenel’s OnGuard access control system. The StorStac systems scale modularly as needed from as little as 2 terabytes (TBs) of RAID protected, hot-swap video retention through to more than 1,500 TB of retention capacity. Version 5.1.1 (StorStac BuildingBlock) was tested with the latest OnGuard 2008 Plus (version 6.1.222). Intransa is a member of Lenel’s Open Access Alliance Program (OAAP).

Hybrid DVR

Bosch Security Systems Inc.’s Divar XF Hybrid Digital Video Recorder (DVR) offers end-users an easy migration path to IP, supporting eight or 16 analog cameras and up to eight H.264 IP video streams. The unit delivers images for both live viewing and recorded video with up to full 4CIF resolution on all channels. With RAID-4 technology, video is stored on up to four internal hard disk drives to ensure maximum protection of recorded video and deliver uninterrupted system reliability even in the event of a drive failure.

Hybrid Video Recorder

Pelco has released its DX8100 Version 2.0 Hybrid Video Recorders, which can record analog cameras as well as Pelco and Axis Standard Definition IP network camera systems. The units give end-users an efficient IP migration strategy and feature expanded external storage options and extended network capabilities. Other features include powerful search capabilities, multiple display options and server-to-server dual-display.
